Honey & Wax Craft and Recipes

Ingredients
30g Beeswax
4g Pine Rosin
3g Jojoba Oil
Thin, high thread count organic cotton fabric
 
Tools
Natural fibre paint brush
Baking Tray
Baking Paper
Oven gloves
Tongs
Pinking shears
Coat hanger and pegs
Oven
Double Boiler
 
Method
  1. Pre heat oven to 130 ‘C.
  2. 2 . Use pinking shears to cut cloth to the required size.
  3. 3.   Line a baking tray with baking paper and place cut cloth on the tray.     
  4. 4. Place Beeswax, Pine Rosin, Jojoba Oil into a double boiler, heat on low and stir till melted.
  5. 5. Apply melted wax to cloth using the paint brush.
  6. Place baking tray with wax coated cloth into the oven for 1 minute.7.
  7. Remove from oven and hang on coat hanger to dry.
  8. Repeat from step 4 if the cloth is not evenly infused with wax.
 
Safety Tips
HOT wax melts at 80’C and flammable so keep away from flames. Handle fabric with Tongs.
